Laptops 4 Learning

The Arnewood School's "Laptops 4 Learning" programme is aimed at providing students with affordable portable technology to enhance family learning.

We believe it is an import part of a school's remit to equip young people with the skills they need to make effective use of ICT for their future well-being and long term employability. Students today should be taught to question information they find on the Internet and to manipulate data to provide solutions to increasingly complex problems.

The school, working with its partner Toshiba, is at the leading edge of developing new curriculum resources that allow students to work at their own pace and with an increasing degree of personalisation. We have undertaken an intensive period of staff training to support new classroom strategies as well as investing in new networking technologies to provide access to school learning materials from home.

Students and parents who participate in the Laptops 4 Learning programme are supported by the schemes comprehensive insurance package and enjoy the benefit of dedicated technician support on site.
