Transition to Secondary School

If you missed our Live Webinar: Virtual Open Day Webinar on Friday the 9th of October,  you can watch a  recording here. Keep checking back with this page for more information and resources on primary to secondary transition.

In common with other schools we are acting responsibly in relation to established safe working practices associated with Covid 19.  Given current restrictions on social gatherings, unfortunately we shall be unable to welcome families to our standard Year 6 Open Mornings, Year 6 Open Evening, or Sixth Form Information Evening . This is a pity as we always enjoy meeting prospective students and letting them see first-hand our excellent teaching, high standards of pupil behaviour and engagement, and state of the art resources.

The transition between schools can be an exciting time but like any significant change in life can bring with it understandable anxiety. We do all we can to ensure children settle quickly into The Arnewood School and that they are embraced by a caring and highly skilled team who create an environment in which they will flourish. If you have more specific concerns please add your contact phone number to your email and one of our dedicated transition team members will call you back for a personalised discussion.
