The Level 2 Award in health and social care will equip students with knowledge of people, beginning with birth and the journey through life. This qualification looks at factors that affect health and wellbeing and how to interpreted health indicators.

Course Outlines

 

BTEC Level 2 Award in health and social care (Equivalent to 1 GCSE)

BTEC Level 2 Award in health and social care is a study of and includes the following coursework units:

–       Human Lifespan Development

–       Health and Social Care Services

–       Health and Wellbeing.

Exam unit: Human lifespan development

Students need to complete all units at either Pass, Merit or Distinction level. A Distinction equates to a grade 7 at GCSE, a merit equates to a 6, and a L2 Pass equates to a grade 4/5.
