Charity Awareness Week

Charity Awareness – New Forest Basics Food Bank
We will be holding a charity day on the last day of term Friday 16th December. Students may choose to wear a festive jumper or festively coloured clothing (socks, hat, scarf, tights or similar) to supplement (complete or enhance) their normal school uniform.
The purpose of the day is to raise awareness for New Forest Basics Food Bank which supports a growing number of families in the local area. As such, we would invite donations of one or more of the items listed below which can be brought in and left at the collection points in the school reception or the main foyer outside of the canteen. Students can bring their donations in across the final week of term so that we can deliver them to New Forest Basics Food Bank on Friday.
The charity would welcome any of the following: –
Food:
- Tinned hot meat (stew, chilli, meatballs, chicken in white sauce etc.)
- Tinned cold meat (ham, chicken, corned beef etc.)
- Tinned pasta (macaroni cheese, spaghetti hoops etc.)
- Sweetcorn
- Cereal (ideally not porridge oats)
- Rice pudding
- Custard
- Jam, honey or peanut butter
- Fruit juice
- Coffee (100g jar)
Household:
- All-purpose cloths
- Washing-up liquid
- Clothes washing detergent
- Anti-bacterial spray
Toiletries:
- Soap
- Shower gel
- Shampoo
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Sanitary products
Other essentials:
- Nappies, particularly sizes 4, 5 and 6
- Baby wipes
