Scola Building Update

Scola buidling update

Building work on the Scola block is well underway and thanks to recent summer sunshine, all is on schedule.

Behind the scaffolding, all three floors have been completely gutted at the Gore Road end and is being replaced with an improved, more environmentally friendly facade, ceiling and windows. The old Scola roof covering which was waterlogged has also been removed and new vapour barriers and roof lights will add to the building’s ambience. Work also includes improvements to the interior decoration meaning students will benefit from more comfortable surroundings.

Phase one is due for completion in the summer with phase two starting after the holidays, where we will see a re-clad and re-fit of the other end of the building.

The Arnewood School Council were fortunate to have a tour of the Scola Building to see first hand how the refurb is coming along.
