Professional theatre director Sean Hollands visited Arnewood to lead 2 full day workshops with drama students. Sean trained at Rose Bruford Drama School and has since performed and worked as a practitioner for leading UK theatre company Frantic Assembly as well as other prestigious theatre work.
As part of the GCSE Drama specification, students create a devised performance and complete a portfolio, this component is worth 30% of the final GCSE mark. The workshops concentrated on helping students towards achieving the highest mark possible for their devised pieces. Devised pieces pieces need to be highly creative with a strong use of performance skills.
