Cover Supervisors work alongside qualified teachers covering classes for absent staff when necessary. The role is an excellent development route into teaching for suitably qualified applicants, or for those who enjoy variety and making a positive difference for young people.
The successful applicant will be confident in his/her ability to manage classes of students aged 11-16 in a calm manner. Training will be provided in classroom management and school curriculum.
Hours of work are 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday during term time (30 hours a week inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break) on salary band C. £16,147 – £16,863 actual (£23,115 – £24,140 FTE)

- Grade D (Full Time Equivalent) £25,628-£28,326 Pro-rata £22,079-£24,404
- Permanent – 37 Hours per week, 39 weeks a year, including two weeks in summer holidays to include key examination dates 0800 – 1600 Mon – Thurs and 0800 – 1530 Friday including 30 min unpaid lunch. Flexibility with hours required in exam periods where an earlier start/later finish may be required.
- Required for Summer Term.
