Trips and visits
Learning at Arnewood doesn't stay within the classroom. We run a rich and varied programme of trips and visits throughout the year - from curriculum-linked experiences to cultural adventures, sporting tours and enrichment days. These are the experiences students remember long after they've left school, and they're a big part of what makes Arnewood special.
Curriculum and cultural trips
We believe in bringing learning to life. Our students regularly attend theatre trips - taking in West End and regional productions as part of their Drama, English and Arts education. Recent visits have included Matilda at the Mayflower Theatre. History students have visited Poland on a deeply moving Holocaust memorial trip, and our Sixth Form students have travelled to New York for an immersive educational experience. Science and geography fieldwork trips take students out of the classroom and into the real world throughout their time at Arnewood.
Adventure and enrichment
Sports tours
Our sports tours give students the chance to compete internationally and experience different cultures alongside their teammates. Recent tours have seen Arnewood students represent the school with pride across Europe and beyond.
Duke of Edinburgh expeditions
Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE participants undertake challenging expeditions as part of their award - another form of adventure that builds character and resilience in equal measure.
Practical information
Letters and all relevant information for trips and visits are sent to parents and carers well in advance, with payment managed through the school's online system. If you have any questions about an upcoming trip, please contact the school office.
