Sixth Form students at The Arnewood School in New Milton were celebrating after receiving hugely successful A Level exam results.
Despite being the first year group to revert back to the pre-Covid grade boundaries they excelled.
Headteacher Jamie Anderson said: “We could not be prouder of the Arnewood School Class of 2023, who have seen their hard work, dedication and resilience rewarded with an excellent set of A Level results.
“On a morning where there is so much to celebrate, it is worth nothing that students in English literature, geography, art and mathematics did particularly well.
“These outstanding results have ensured that the vast majority of Arnewood students have been able to progress to their university course of choice or their preferred degree level apprenticeship; including at Russell Group universities and firms such as the Hendy Group, where Maddie Saunders will start soon.
“Arnewood students’ achievements will ensure that we have a presence across the length and breadth of the country at various institutions and employers, and we are thrilled to have supported them all in reaching this point.
“Exceptional individual achievements include: Kasia Stopyra who achieved two A* and two A grades and leaves us to read Civil Engineering at Manchester, and Christian Davies achieved A*, A*, A.
“Marriott Witney will start next term at the Arts University in Plymouth following her results of A, B, B in art, photography and product design.
“As ever, the results and destinations reflect brilliantly on the commitment and hard work of our students, our inspirational teachers and the huge efforts made by all members of staff to help identify and support students in their times of need.”
Mark Colman, Head of Sixth Form, said: “Our students have done really well and we’re looking forward to welcoming the new sixth form intake in September.”
